Gas up on us with a FREE $500 Pre-Paid Gas Card! Simply fill out a short consumer survey and receive a free gas card as a
reward. With gas prices going up, this is a no-brainer!
Fill up your gas tank at one of your favorite gas stations
like Shell, BP, Chevron, Exxon, Texaco and Amoco with this gas card. Gas
will be at $5 a gallon before you know it, so this is an easy way to
save money at the pump for weeks or months, depending on how often you
drive your car, how far you travel, and how much you put the pedal to
the metal (frequent quick acceleration actually consumes gas more
quickly, as does using your brakes a lot).
To use this gas card, just take it to any gas station,
swipe it at the credit/debit machine on the gas pump, and it will deduct
your total gas purchase from the $500 available on the card, just like a
personal debit account. Convenience stores still get paid, and this is
not a rebate you have to wait on like some gas offers. Another way to
save money at the gas pump is to sign up for credit cards offered by gas
companies - they often incentivize your purchases by giving you a
percent reward or gas credit.
This gas card has been a favorite promotion for several
years though, so you know this is a great way to rev up your engine on
savings at the pump, so to speak. There are several websites that offer
comparisons of the gas prices in your area. Use these sites to find out
which gas stations offer the cheapest gas, usually by plugging in your
zip code and getting a chart of nearby stations.
Also, be sure to factor in the highway vs. city MPG
(miles per gallon) of your vehicle - stopping and starting in the city
can burn significantly more gas than driving at a constant speed on the
highway, so if you have heavy rush hour or downtown commutes, or you
need to make frequent short trips for your job, it could be very
beneficial to get an electric or electric/gas-powered car or truck. Your
company may reward you for carpooling with co-workers as well, and
sometimes even your city will offer incentives for alternative travel by
bus, train or carpool. Contact your company or your local government for
up-to-date benefits, as new legislation is always being introduced these
days in an effort to combat not only traffic, but pollution and energy
costs.
